ANALOGUE GLITCH EXPERIMENTS
I'm fascinated by the evocative aesthetic of analogue video and it's imperfections. A combination of technical understanding and nostalgia has helped deconstruct what makes it so intriguing to me, and using a series of custom built 'circuit bending' devices i've spent time exploring this aesthetic further.
I've developed a workflow that starts with high end CG and photography, which is then fed through this analogue equipment, and manipulated as desired, before being displayed on old CRT TV's where it's photographed. These images are then retouched, bringing the cycle full circle, but with the inimitable texture and feeling of genuine analogue hardware.
