LIONSGATE ENTERTAINEMT WORLD

Client: Lionsgate Films
Agency: Framestore / Thinkwell

I was approached by Framestore to help with the environmental video media for a new Lionsgate Films theme park in China called Lionsgtae Entertainment World. The theme park is based around the largest IPs from the Lionsgate catalogue, these being Hunger Games, Twilight, Divergent, Escape Plan, God's of Egypt and Now You See Me.

At the centre of the park is a 4 story tall video 'chandelier' which we created the content for. This was then reversioned for the video columns in the ticketing area and an 11 screen away in one of the dining areas.

All the content was designed to emphasise the visual language of the IPs and be instantly recognisable, helping to create a dramatic visual presence throughout the park. The main video chandelier had an effective resolution of 45 million pixels and all content was delivered at 60fps, so there were lots of workflow issues to overcome.

The theme park has just opened (August 19) to rave reviews.
